Sashiko is a traditional form of Japanese embroidery that uses a basic running stitch to create repeating patterns. This 100% cotton panel has the design pre-printed on it, so it's easy to know just where to stitch. The printing washes out when you are done stitching.
This pattern is best for advanced beginner sashiko stitchers. It will require six 22-meter skeins of sashiko thread to complete.
At just under 13 inches square, the cloth can be used as a dishcloth, finished as a pillow or tote, or combined with other panels as part of a larger project.
