This charming cross stitch pattern by Japanese designer Kyoko Maruoka (Gera!) features a schoolgirl going through her day, from reading in the park to riding her bike to hurrying off to school with a traditional furoshiki in her hand. The design was inspired by a scene in Osamu Dazai's pre-war coming of age novella The Schoolgirl. It would look lovely framed and hung in a child's room.
This design is available as a printed pattern. Get up and stitching quickly with the coordinating thread pack which comes complete with 27 full skeins of DMC cotton embroidery floss.
