An adorable keeps watch in this cross stitch kit based on the work of UK-based artist and printmaker Karen Carter. The kit comes with everything you need to stitch, including your choice of Aida or evenweave fabric, DMC floss, a needle, and the stitching chart and instructions.
This design is stitched in a tapestry style, so the background is completely covered with blue cross stitches. If you did not want to take the time to stitch in the background, you could opt to leave it unstitched and let the antique white background fabric show through.
Note: Evenweave fabric is similar to linen and is generally stitched over two threads. For more information see How to cross stitch on linen.
