Inspired by 18th and 19th century samplers, this design features traditional Quaker elements including geometric medallions and motifs from nature. The quote from 13th-century Persian poet Rumi reads, "This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment."
Like all the sampler patterns from Modern Folk Embroidery, you can stitch the whole piece or pull individual elements for smaller hoops, pincushions, and other projects.
Thread color is not specified in the pattern, so you are free to choose whatever you would like! Stitch the whole design in a single color for a monochrome look, or change things up with a palette of your favorite hues. You will need approximately 6 or 7 skeins of floss for the entire piece.
