The traditional art of Sashiko stitching gets a modern treatment in this kit imported from Japan. The design is composed of simple running stitches, and the pattern is printed on the fabric so it's easy to know exactly where to place you stitches.
At just under 13 inches square, the cloth can be used as a dishcloth, finished as a pillow or tote, or combined with other panels as part of a larger project.
The kit contains the printed fabric, sashiko thread, and a needle. The instructions are in Japanese only, but those with previous sashiko experience or adventurous beginners can follow the illustrations to get started.
