Tula cross stitch cloth is an evenly woven fabric that is great for beginners or for when you want a chunkier look. The holes are easy to see and easy to stitch in. Made of 60% rayon and 40% cotton, the fabric has a soft hand and drape. It is not as stiff as Aida, so you may want to use a hoop or frame when working with Tula.
At 10 stitches per inch, your stitches will have a chunky feel. Tula is generally stitched over 1 using four strands of floss. A size 22 tapestry needle is a good choice when stitching on Tula.
The front side of this Country Mocha fabric is variegated for a vintage tea-stained look. The back side is a solid mocha color. You can choose either side to stitch on. The base color is somewhere between DMC embroidery floss colors #420 and #422.
