Hand-Forged Iron Craft & Garden Shears

Years ago, on a trip to London, I picked up a pair of mini garden shears that became one of my favorite tools on the work table. There was something about the weight and the shape of them that made snipping thread and yarn genuinely satisfying. These shears aren't mini, but they have that same heft and the same beautifully simple, hand-forged shape -- so of course I had to bring them into the shop.

A note on use: because they're larger than a typical pair of embroidery scissors, we don't recommend them for fine thread work. But for yarn, thicker threads, and general cutting around the craft table, they're excellent. And true to their roots, they're just as at home out in the garden.

Hand-forged from cast iron, these are built to last -- strong, sharp, and finished with ergonomic handles that feel good in the hand during extended use. When they're not being put to work, their simple, sculptural shape makes them a nice piece to leave out on display.
