This charming pattern by Modern Folk Embroidery was inspired by Byzantine mosaics. The design features two peacocks, ancient symbols of resurrection and paradise, perched in a tree.
Thread color is not specified in the pattern, so you are free to choose whatever you would like! Stitch the whole design in a single color for a monochrome look, or change things up with a palette of your favorite hues. You will need approximately 4 or 5 skeins of floss for the entire piece.
